Red Pony Salsa
Richard had made salsa for over 30 years from his large garden. Not happy with commercially available salsas at the time, Richard started experimenting with making his own. After a few years he came up with what is now Red Pony Salsa.
The name came from his dear friend, Craig Johnson, the author of the Longmire series. Not only did he encourage Richard to produce and sell his salsa commercially, one morning the two were sharing a cup of coffee when Craig suggested the name “Red Pony.”
