Sunfisher Sorbet
A "sunfisher" is a bucking horse, and Sunfisher Sorbet’s bucking bee logo represents the wild times had since moving to Lander, Wyoming in 2015. Lisa set out to raise apples, grapes, cherries, plums, raspberries, chokecherries, buffalo berries, vegetables, chickens, honeybees, and native pollinators at her home on the edge of town.
Lisa found that frozen fruit sorbet is a fun way to capture the flavor of what she grows and forages. Sorbet is delicious by itself, with fruit or a simple dessert, and makes a great cocktail starter. Customer demand at Meadowlark Market, and Fremont Local Market has allowed her to upgrade to a fairly serious Italian gelato machine, which is getting a lot of use!
